I'm way
up south, at the seashore of Gopalpur only 15 km away from Berhampur.
ମୁଁ ଦୂର ଦକ୍ଷିଣରେ, ବ୍ରହ୍ମପୁରଠାରୁ ମାତ୍ର ୧୫
କିଲୋମିଟର ଦୂର ଗୋପାଳପୁର ସମୁଦ୍ର କୂଳରେ ଅଛି।
The waves
and winds are very interesting.
ସମୁଦ୍ରର ଢେଉ ଏବଂ ପବନ ବହୁତ
ଚମତ୍କାର।
Bapa and
Maa love it here, and they like playing with the waves and throwing sand at
each other.
ବାପା ଏବଂ ମାଆଙ୍କୁ ଏଠାରେ
ବହୁତ ଭଲ ଲାଗୁଛି, ଏବଂ ସେମାନେ ଢେଉ ସହ ଖେଳିବାକୁ
ଓ ପରସ୍ପର ଉପରକୁ ବାଲି ଫିଙ୍ଗିବାକୁ ଭଲ ପାଉଛନ୍ତି।
They are
so happy here.

I also
like the waves, but I am afraid of playing with the large waves.

another train yesterday and reached Himachal Pradesh via New Delhi.

ଧରି ନୂଆଦିଲ୍ଲୀ ଦେଇ ହିମାଚଳ ପ୍ରଦେଶରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲୁ।
It is
very quiet, and we can see so many mountains from our cabin.
ଏଠାକାର ପରିବେଶ ଖୁବ୍ ଶାନ୍ତ, ଏବଂ ଆମ କ୍ୟାବିନରୁ ଆମେ ଅନେକ
ପାହାଡ଼ ଦେଖିପାରୁଛୁ।
Colourful
birds wake me with their chirping when the Sun rises in the east.

ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଉଦୟ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ରଙ୍ଗବେରଙ୍ଗର ପକ୍ଷୀମାନଙ୍କ

I also
think I hear bears growling in the west when it gets dark.
ଅନ୍ଧାର ହେଲେ ପଶ୍ଚିମ ଦିଗରୁ
ଭାଲୁମାନଙ୍କ ଗର୍ଜନ ଶୁଣାଯାଉଛି ବୋଲି ମୋତେ ଲାଗୁଛି।
But Maa
says that's just Bapa snoring.
କିନ୍ତୁ ମାଆ କହୁଛନ୍ତି କି
ସେଇଟା କେବଳ ବାପାଙ୍କର ଘୁଙ୍ଗୁଡ଼ି ଶବ୍ଦ।
I would
love to meet a bear and give it a hug.

Himachal
is in the north but Arunachal is all the way in the east.

କିନ୍ତୁ ଅରୁଣାଚଳ ପୂର୍ବ ଦିଗର ଶେଷ ମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ଅଛି।
I thought
all the Pradesh states sat next to each other.
ମୁଁ ଭାବିଥିଲି ଯେ ସବୁ 'ପ୍ରଦେଶ' ନାମକ ରାଜ୍ୟଗୁଡ଼ିକ ପରସ୍ପର
ପାଖାପାଖି ଥିବେ।
We took
two trains and drove a long time to get here.
ଏଠାରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମକୁ
ଦୁଇଟି ଟ୍ରେନ୍ ବଦଳାଇବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିଲା ଏବଂ ବହୁ ସମୟ ଗାଡ଼ିରେ ଯିବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିଲା।
This
morning, we walked through a forest to reach our treehouse.
ଆଜି ସକାଳେ, ଆମେ ଆମର ଟ୍ରି-ହାଉସ୍ (ଗଛ
ଉପରେ ଥିବା ଘର)ରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବା ପାଇଁ ଏକ ଜଙ୍ଗଲ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦେଇ ଚାଲି ଚାଲି ଗଲୁ।
The
forest here is so thick that if you blink or stop to tie your shoelaces, you
will get lost.
ଏଠାକାର ଜଙ୍ଗଲ ଏତେ ଘଞ୍ଚ ଯେ
ଯଦି ତୁମେ ଆଖି ପିଛୁଳାକେ ଚାହିଁବ କିମ୍ବା ଜୋତା ଫିତା ବାନ୍ଧିବାକୁ ଅଟକି ଯିବ, ତେବେ ତୁମେ ହଜିଯିବ।
I love
Arunachal the best so far and am beginning to enjoy myself.

It did
not take any time at all to travel from Arunachal Pradesh south west and get to
the Sundarbans in West Bengal.
ଅରୁଣାଚଳ ପ୍ରଦେଶରୁ
ଦକ୍ଷିଣ-ପଶ୍ଚିମ ଦିଗକୁ ଯାଇ ପଶ୍ଚିମବଙ୍ଗର ସୁନ୍ଦରବନରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବା ପାଇଁ ଆଦୌ ସମୟ ଲାଗିଲା
ନାହିଁ।
Today,
Maa and Bapa took me out onto the river in a small boat.
ଆଜି, ମାଆ ଏବଂ ବାପା ମୋତେ ଏକ ଛୋଟ
ଡଙ୍ଗାରେ ନଦୀ ଭିତରକୁ ନେଇଯାଇଥିଲେ।
Maa tells
me that places like the Sundarbans are called wetlands.
ମାଆ ମୋତେ କହୁଛନ୍ତି କି
ସୁନ୍ଦରବନ ଭଳି ସ୍ଥାନଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ 'ୱେଟଲ୍ୟାଣ୍ଡସ' ବା ଆର୍ଦ୍ରଭୂମି କୁହାଯାଏ।
I never
knew such a place existed, and that it was possible for trees called mangroves
to grow in seawater!
ମୁଁ କେବେ ଜାଣି ନଥିଲି ଯେ
ଏଭଳି ଏକ ସ୍ଥାନ ଅଛି, ଏବଂ ସମୁଦ୍ର ପାଣିରେ 'ମାଙ୍ଗ୍ରୋଭ' (ହେନ୍ତାଳ) ନାମକ ଗଛ ବଢ଼ିବା
ସମ୍ଭବ!
But Maa
is sad about how much this place floods today.
କିନ୍ତୁ ଆଜିକାଲି ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନଟି
କେତେ ପରିମାଣରେ ବନ୍ୟାପ୍ଲାବିତ ହେଉଛି, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମାଆ ଦୁଃଖିତ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
We also
saw crocodiles and a lonely snake while boating.
ଡଙ୍ଗାରେ ବୁଲିବା ସମୟରେ ଆମେ
କୁମ୍ଭୀର ଏବଂ ଏକ ଏକାକୀ ସାପ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦେଖିଲୁ।
I hope
they don't follow us home.
ମୁଁ ଆଶା କରୁଛି ସେମାନେ ଆମ
ପଛେ ପଛେ ଘରକୁ ଆସିବେ ନାହିଁ।

We
travelled across the country, all the way from east to west, from West Bengal
to Gujarat, and it took us two-and-a-half days!
ଆମେ ଦେଶର ଏପାରିରୁ ସେପାରି, ପୂର୍ବରୁ ପଶ୍ଚିମ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ପଶ୍ଚିମବଙ୍ଗରୁ
ଗୁଜରାଟ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଯାତ୍ରା କଲୁ ଏବଂ ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମକୁ ଅଢ଼େଇ ଦିନ ଲାଗିଲା!
I don't
know why my Maa and Bapa brought me to the middle of the desert.
ମୁଁ ଜାଣିନି ମୋ ବାପା-ମାଆ
ମୋତେ ଏହି ମରୁଭୂମି ମଝିକୁ କାହିଁକି ଆଣିଲେ।
It's hot,
dry, and there's sand everywhere.
ଏଠାରେ ବହୁତ ଗରମ, ଶୁଖିଲା ପାଗ ଏବଂ ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ
କେବଳ ବାଲି।
It's like
a beach without the sea!

But I do
really love the clothes here. They're so pretty and colourful.

Today was
the best day ever!
ଆଜିର ଦିନଟି ସବୁଠାରୁ ଭଲ ଦିନ
ଥିଲା!
We drove
east from the desert to the Narmada river, which flows all the way to the
centre of India, and it only took us six hours.
ଆମେ ମରୁଭୂମିରୁ ପୂର୍ବ ଦିଗକୁ
ଗାଡ଼ି ଚଲାଇ ନର୍ମଦା ନଦୀ କୂଳକୁ ଗଲୁ, ଯାହା ଭାରତର ମଧ୍ୟଭାଗ ଦେଇ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହୁଏ, ଏବଂ ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମକୁ ମାତ୍ର ୬ ଘଣ୍ଟା ଲାଗିଲା।
In the
afternoon, Maa, Bapa, and I went rafting in the river and you won't believe how
wild and scary it was.

I always
thought rivers were calm, but up close they're really fast.

Bapa says
that there used to be a lot more water, and rafting was much scarier then.

ଏଠାରେ ବହୁତ ଅଧିକ ପାଣି ରହୁଥିଲା, ଏବଂ ସେତେବେଳେ ରାଫ୍ଟିଂ କରିବା ଆହୁରି ଡରୁଆ ଥିଲା।
I was
fully wet by the time I was done, and Bapa was so scared that he decided never
to go rafting ever again.

I think
we're in the southwest part of the country, in Goa, and you won't believe how
nice the plateaus look.

There are
so many hills here, and beaches too.

There are
also a lot of tunnels that the train goes through.

I used to
be afraid of tunnels, but I'm not any more.

Someday,
I wish we could all go on a tour of the plateaus.

Maybe

ଯେ ଆମେ ପୁଣି ସେହି ଏକା ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଅଛୁ! (ତାଙ୍କର ଭ୍ରମଣ ଓଡ଼ିଶାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଥିଲା କିନ୍ତୁ
ଏଠାରେ ସେ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଭାରତ ବିଷୟରେ କହୁଛନ୍ତି)।
We
travelled south, and I will be home soon.
ଆମେ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଦିଗକୁ ଯାତ୍ରା
କଲୁ, ଏବଂ ମୁଁ ଖୁବ୍ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଘରେ
ପହଞ୍ଚିବି।
We
reached Chennai yesterday, and on the way to Puducherry, we decided to learn
how to surf.

ପହଞ୍ଚିଲୁ, ଏବଂ ପୁଡୁଚେରୀ ଯିବା ବାଟରେ ଆମେ

I think
I'm good at it now because I only fell down twice.

Maa and
Bapa splashed water on each other and behaved like children.

ପାଣି ଛିଞ୍ଚାଛିଞ୍ଚି ହେଉଥିଲେ ଏବଂ ପିଲାଙ୍କ ଭଳି ବ୍ୟବହାର କରୁଥିଲେ।
It's a
good thing I was there to control them.
ଭଲ ହେଲା ଯେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ
ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ସେଠାରେ ଥିଲି।
The
beaches here are not like the ones we have on our island.
ଏଠାକାର ସମୁଦ୍ର କୂଳ ଆମ
ଦ୍ୱୀପରେ ଥିବା ସମୁଦ୍ର କୂଳ ଭଳି ନୁହେଁ।
The waves
are a lot rougher and the water is browner, but I still like it here.

classmates,
ପ୍ରିୟ ସହପାଠୀମାନେ,
I thought
Maa and Bapa would be tired from all our travelling, but we made one last stop
at the Olaikaadu beach before we reached home.
ମୁଁ ଭାବିଥିଲି ଏତେ ଭ୍ରମଣ ପରେ
ମାଆ ଏବଂ ବାପା ଥକି ଯାଇଥିବେ,
କିନ୍ତୁ ଘରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବା
ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଆମେ ଓଲାଇକାଡୁ ବେଳାଭୂମିରେ ଶେଷ ଥର ପାଇଁ ଅଟକିଲୁ।
And I'm
so happy we did.
ଏବଂ ଆମେ ଯେ ଏହା କଲୁ, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ବହୁତ ଖୁସି।
Maa
wanted to teach me how to dive, but they did not have diving suits my size, so
I spent the day floating and looking at the fish while my parents dove below
me.
ମାଆ ମୋତେ ଡାଇଭିଂ (ପାଣି
ଭିତରେ ବୁଡ଼ିବା) ଶିଖାଇବାକୁ ଚାହୁଁଥିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ମୋ ସାଇଜ୍ର ଡାଇଭିଂ ସୁଟ୍ ନଥିଲା, ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ ଦିନ ସାରା ପାଣି
ଉପରେ ଭାସିଲି ଏବଂ ମାଛମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲି ଯେତେବେଳେ କି ମୋ ବାପା-ମାଆ ମୋ ତଳେ ପାଣିରେ
ବୁଡ଼ୁଥିଲେ।
We found
all sorts of pebbles on the beach, and I can't wait to give them to you in
person tomorrow.
ଆମେ ବେଳାଭୂମିରୁ ବିଭିନ୍ନ
ପ୍ରକାରର ପଥର (pebbles) ପାଇଲୁ, ଏବଂ ଆସନ୍ତାକାଲି ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ

and Bapa,
ପ୍ରିୟ ମାଆ ଏବଂ ବାପା,
I can't
believe we travelled across the whole country!
ମୁଁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିପାରୁନାହିଁ
ଯେ ଆମେ ସାରା ଦେଶ ଭ୍ରମଣ କଲୁ!
I know
we're going to miss visiting the forests, glaciers, deserts, wetlands,
plateaus, and mountains.
ମୁଁ ଜାଣିଛି ଯେ ଆମେ ସେହି
ଜଙ୍ଗଲ, ଗ୍ଲାସିୟର୍ (ବରଫ ନଦୀ), ମରୁଭୂମି, ଆର୍ଦ୍ରଭୂମି, ମାଳଭୂମି ଏବଂ ପାହାଡ଼ଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ
ବହୁତ ମନେ ପକାଇବୁ।
And we
are going to miss hearing all those new languages and meeting all those
different people.
ଏବଂ ଆମେ ସେହି ସବୁ ନୂଆ ନୂଆ
ଭାଷା ଶୁଣିବା ଏବଂ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ପ୍ରକାରର ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଭେଟିବାକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ମିସ୍ କରିବୁ।
But we're
finally home now, and we can join our friends again.
କିନ୍ତୁ ଶେଷରେ ଆମେ ଏବେ ଘରେ
ପହଞ୍ଚିଛୁ, ଏବଂ ଆମେ ପୁଣି ଥରେ ଆମର
ବନ୍ଧୁମାନଙ୍କ ସହ ମିଶିପାରିବୁ।
I hope we
get to travel like this again, and maybe next time we can take our friends with
us.
ମୁଁ ଆଶା କରୁଛି ଆମେ ପୁଣି ଥରେ
ଏହିଭଳି ଯାତ୍ରା କରିବୁ, ଏବଂ ହୁଏତ ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ସମୟରେ
ଆମେ ଆମର ସାଙ୍ଗମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆମ ସାଥିରେ ନେଇପାରିବୁ।
